Overview:  This two-day short course will focus on the principles of rock slope stability analysis and remedial measures, the evaluation, analysis and control of rockfall hazards, and the theory and application of probability and risk analysis in the context of both slope stability and rockfalls. The practical application of theory and principles is illustrated by several case studies.  Basic engineering theory will be covered during the course although the focus will be on the practical applied aspects of rock slope design and remediation.
