PCPG Members serve the Commonwealth on numerous advisory committees, boards, and technical committees. They provide geologic expertise on these committees and share information from the committees with PCPG. Representation is provided to the following:
State Board of Licensure for
Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists. This is the Board which
administers the professional licensing of Geologists under Act 151 of
1992.
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP):
Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) , the only legislatively mandated environmental advisory committee in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Underground Storage Tank Advisory Committee
Science Advisory Board (SAB), which developed the Act 2 Land Recycling Act Cleanup Standards.
Oil and Gas Technical Advisory Committee

Ad Hoc Mapping Advisory Committee to the Pennsylvania Bureau of Topographic and Geological Survey. The
Committee assists the Survey with long-term planning and strategy development for geologic mapping projects.
