The Growing Voice of
Pennsylvania
's Geologists and Environmental Professionals
At its December 2006
meeting, PCPG approved the following unprecedented
organizational changes to more closely match our strengths with
your needs while facing the realities of a competitive and
dynamic environmental services market.

Individual PG's
can now become members. Whether employed in the public
or private sectors, or as a faculty member at a university,
you can now join the premiere organization in
Pennsylvania
that keeps you current with the scientific, regulatory and
legislative changes that affect your profession. While
Corporate Membership is still available and advantageous to
certain companies, you as an individual can now directly
voice support for your profession and receive the benefits
of PCPG membership.

Environmental
professionals can also join either as individuals or
included in a Corporate Membership and receive the same
benefits and voting privileges. It is largely the
environmental profession that employs geologists who, along
with fellow geoscientists including chemists, biologists,
toxicologists, risk assessors, and engineers to name a few,
are working to remediate and safeguard Pennsylvania's soil
and water resources. PCPG's future is in meeting the
professional development needs of all those employed in this
field. while continuing to also serve those in more
classical geologic capacities.

Those in academia
are key to PCPG's mission and now, both educators and
students are invited to join. PCPG recognizes
that a strong foundation in the sciences is essential for
those entering the environmental field. With
involvement from educators and opportunities for students to
network with prospective employers, both public and private,
PCPG's pulse on the environmental field provides important
feedback for our schools to help ensure their graduates have
the skills that employers need.

Corporate Members have
earned special recognition for their loyalty. It was the
vision of the founding Corporate Members and the continued
support by all Corporate Members over the last nearly 20
years that allows PCPG to deliver the value it does. In
recognition of their contributions, a new discounted
Corporate Dues structure is now offered.
