Annual Scholarship Essay Program

PCPG's Annual Scholarship Program is designed to foster and support students pursuing geology or related earth resource degrees. Two scholarship awards are offered each year with the first place recipient receiving $1,000 and the second place recipient receiving $400.  The award is presented directly to the student to help offset the cost of their educational expenses.

Applicants must be enrolled full time in either an undergraduate or graduate program in Geology or a related major such as Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.  The program is open to resident and non-resident students who attend Pennsylvania schools, and Pennsylvania residents who attend out-of-state schools.  The applicant's school must be an accredited college or university.

Essay submissions will be evaluated and ranked by a selection committee that may include PCPG Board Members. Family members of the selection committee are ineligible.
